About the College
Crescent B.Ed. College, locates at Madayipara, Kannur District, was established in 2005 under the management of the North Malabar Development Society (NMDS), a registered society founded in 1990. The primary aim of NMDS is to promote socio-economic and educational upliftment, particularly for the underprivileged. The college was established to meet the growing demand for quality teacher education in the northern part of Kannur and has been playing a significant role in the development of higher education in the region.

The college sets in a serene, pollution-free 7-acre campus in Madayi Grama Panchayath, Payangadi, provides an ideal environment for learning. Crescent B.Ed. College is affiliated to Kannur University, approved by the Government of Kerala and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bengaluru. As an unaided, self-financing institution, it welcomes students of all castes and creeds, fostering a healthy and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

NCTE has granted recognition to Crescent B.Ed. College for conducting two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme with a total intake of 100 students from the academic year 2015-16 divided into two basic units of 50 each. The programme covers five optional subjects: English, Mathematics, Natural Science, Physical Science, and Social Science.
